Weekending
Coming July 2024
Synopsis
After almost a year apart, Clay and Mia reunite for a special weekend at a secluded cabin, hoping to mend their relationship. However, as the night unfolds, their neglected past issues resurface, causing Mia's perception of reality to become distorted and leading to unexpected consequences.
Weekending (2024) is the first short film that I had the pleasure of writing, producing, and editing. I started writing in 2020 and continued to write more and more till' I came up with a story that I wanted to tell. Weekending took me a little over three months to write and refine, and it wasn't until the summer of 2023 that a group of peers and I had the pleasure to film after months of pre-production.
Producing a short film that I wrote meant everything to me, and this was the first time out of school that I was able to independently create a story with others who supported me, and the project itself. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had on set. Currently in the post-production phase, Weekending will be ready for festival submission in July 2024, and will be uploaded on my youtube shortly after its festival run.
